Algonquin’s favourite cookie recipe

Looking for a killer sweet treat this Halloween season?

This cookie recipe comes straight from the staff at Algonquin Provincial Park!

Round up your little goblins and ghouls and bake some delicious cookies to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Halloween sugar cookies

  • ¾ cup of butter Halloween sugar cookies
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 ¾ cup flour
  • 3 tsp corn starch
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a small mixing bowl.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the wet ingredients together. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients.

Chill the dough for 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough and cut. Try using some spooky cookie cutters for a Halloween theme!

Bake cookies for 9 minutes.

Allow cookies to cool. Once the cookies are cooled, decorate with your favourite icing, sprinkles, and candies.
